Zero Waste Cleaning

Rid your home of harmful, toxic chemicals and help the environment (and yourself) by using homemade, clean and all natural ingredients in your cleaning routine.

Surface Cleaner

What you'll need:

  • Baking soda

  • White, distilled vinegar

Sprinkle the baking soda on the surface and spray vinegar over it, then wipe off. Easy!

(Note: No need to worry about the vinegar smell- it goes away fairly quickly.)

What surfaces to NOT clean with vinegar:

  • Granite or marble countertops

  • Hard wood floors

  • Stone floors

Vinger is acidic so it will etch away natural stone and resins. Castle soap would be a good alternative to vinegar.

Natural Sink Declogger

What you'll need:

  • White distilled vinegar

  • Baking soda

  • Boiling water

  1. Pour a pot of boiling water down the drain.

  2. Add 1/2 cup of baking soda to drain and let sit for a few minutes.

  3. Pour a mixture of 1 cup of hot water and 1 cup of vinegar on the baking soda.

  4. Let sit for 10-15 minutes, then flush with more boiling water.
